International Place is back at Saskatoon Folkfest! With a new location at Prairieland Park’s Hall E this year, our six pavilions are excited to open their doors to our loyal patrons and first-time visitors! Explore favourites from the Norwegian and Vietnamese Pavilion, and be surprised by the dazzling culture of the Iranian and Nepal pavilions as they return for another year!
As we celebrate our 45th anniversary, we would like to introduce you to two pavilions that are brand new to the Folkfest family: the Latino Pavilion and the Nigerian Pavilion! They have been working hard all year, along with our other pavilions, to showcase a captivating display of their culture, ranging from delicious food to thrilling performances; there is something for everyone!
The goal of International Place is to connect communities, including communities that do not have a pavilion to display this year at our festival. Folkfest is excited to welcome special guest performances from the Saskatoon Highland Dancing Association, representing a favourite, the Scottish Pavilion. We also would like to welcome back the Sound of Afghanistan and introduce you to various performances from our six International Place pavilions!
We hope to see you and your crew at International Place this year, celebrating the decades of dedication our volunteers have put their time into creating such a remarkable event!
