Folkfest Mandate
Saskatoon Folkfest is committed to producing an annual festival for the purpose of educating the public about the different cultures within our society in order to appreciate one’s heritage and preserve valued aspects of culture. In addition, Folkfest provides scholarships to deserving students for the purpose of fulfilling their educational goals.

Honourary Ambassadors
Folkfest’s Honourary Ambassador is selected through a nomination process. They are dedicated individuals who reflect the universal spirit of Folkfest and the ideals of preserving valued aspects of culture. These worthy individuals have shown exemplary commitment to enhancing the quality of life in their community. The Honourary Ambassador represents Folkfest as a whole and visits each pavilion during the three-day festival.

Folkfest Ambassadors
Ambassadors are your official hosts at each pavilion. These enthusiastic volunteers represent their cultural heritage group at official functions and serve to illustrate the commitment of the thousands of loyal volunteers who devote countless hours to make your Folkfest experience memorable and enjoyable.

Youth Ambassadors
This program encourages youth between the ages of 15 to 21 to meet new people, exchange ideas and learn to respect one another’s cultural traditions.
Youth Ambassadors serve as pavilion co-hosts. They assist with welcoming visitors during the festival, and make personal appearances on behalf of Folkfest at community events and official functions throughout the summer.
