Bangladesh is a country of immense natural beauty located in the north-eastern part of South
Asia. The majestic Himalayas lie not far to the north, while the Bay of Bengal lies to the south.
Each region of the country has a different topography and has many tourist attractions –
archaeological and historical sites, the largest mangrove forest of the world, panoramic
landscapes, mountain forests, beautiful green tea gardens and the longest sandy beach in the
world. It’s a home of the Royal Bengal Tiger, wild lives, freshwater pink dolphins and one of
the largest interconnected river networks of about 24,140 km.
Bangladesh has a subtropical monsoon climate characterized by wide seasonal variations in
rainfall, high temperatures and humidity. Owing to its fertile soil and climates, Bangladesh is
now ranked as the third largest producer of a variety of green vegetables as well one of the top
garment manufacturing countries in the world.
Festivals and celebrations are an integral part of Bangladeshi culture. It manifests itself in a
variety of forms, including music, literature, dance, drama, arts and crafts, folklore, festive
celebrations, and unique culinary traditions. We cordially invite you to enjoy our traditional
music, songs, dances, and taste delicious spicy foods and sweets.
