Festival Details

With a Folkfest 2024 | Decades of Dedication ePassport, you are about to embark on a remarkable adventure! This ePassport grants you unlimited access to all 14 pavilions, as well as free transportation on the Folkfest buses for 3 days! This experience will immerse you in vibrant cultures, and exotic displays and tantalize your taste buds with exquisite cuisines! ePassports are $16.50, and children twelve and under are free accompanied by an adult. Use this digital passport as your information hub for the festival! We are excited to see you at this year’s festivities on August 15 (5PM-12AM), 16 (5PM-12AM), & 17 (3PM-12AM)!

Honourary Ambassador

Folkfest’s Honourary Ambassador is selected through a nomination process, recognizing individuals who embody Folkfest’s spirit and its commitment to preserving cultural heritage. These distinguished individuals have demonstrated dedication to improving their community’s quality of life. The Honourary Ambassador represents Folkfest as a whole and visits each pavilion throughout the three-day festival. The 2024 Honourary Ambassador is Mohammad Azad.

About Us Folkfest

Saskatoon Folkfest Incorporated is membership based, comprised of twenty-one local ethnocultural groups and governed by a eight member volunteer Board of Directors.

Folkfest Pavilion Ambassadors are your official hosts. These enthusiastic volunteers represent their cultural heritage group and serve to illustrate the commitment of the thousands of loyal volunteers who devote countless hours to make your Folkfest experience memorable and enjoyable.

Youth Ambassadors: This program strives to foster a sense of identity, cultivate cultural competence, promote community service and enhance teamwork and leadership skills. Youth have the opportunity for authentic cross-cultural learning by sharing and exploring cultural traditions between peers and reaching out to the broader community.
